At Sweet Honeylou 1887, our story is deeply rooted in the rich culinary heritage of my two beloved grandmothers, each leaving an indelible mark on my passion for baking. Inspired by the warmth of Grandma Lou's kitchen, where corn shacks were ground after mule feedings to create the foundation for heavenly cornbread, and the grace of my other grandmother, Grandma M a live-in maid for the town's wealthiest lady, who generously shared her baking wisdom during our cherished holiday moments.

It all began when, as a curious child, I asked Grandma Yogi to unravel the secrets of cake baking. Her teachings sparked a love affair with the art of baking, and soon enough, my cakes became a family favorite, turning me into the go-to star baker for every occasion. This legacy, rooted in family tradition and timeless recipes, lives on today through Sweet Honeylou 1887.

The birth year, 1887, pays homage to the year my grandmother entered the world, bringing with her a legacy of culinary delights. One that I am honored to continue with a special nod to her unforgettable sweet potato pie.
